We are seeking a dynamic Bar & Lounge Manager to join our team.  A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

  1. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
  2. Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
  3. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality and service, constantly monitoring guest experience
  4. Create and develop training programs with the goal of constant improvement, both at the individual and group level
  5. Responsible for obtaining maximum results in the utilization and appearance of the food and beverage areas, the quality levels, performance and standards of service
  6. Develop new and analyze existing procedures that will improve guest patronage under the guidelines of Company’s policies
  7. Handles all guest complaints in the restaurant area
  8. Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
  9. Participate in decision making and financial responsibility of Food & Beverage Program
  10. Participate in weekly departmental meetings
  11. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
  12. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control 
  13. Hold weekly BOH planning meetings with the Executive Chef and/or F&B Director
  14. Assist GM in interviewing, selecting, training, guiding, managing and scheduling personnel
  15. Monitor and develop employee performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling, evaluations, setting annual goals and delivering recognition and reward
  16. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
  17. Maintain “open door” communication with employees
  18. Responsible for checking cost control reports and form action plans based on goals set by management
  19. Responsible for interviewing, selecting, training, guiding, managing and scheduling personnel
  20. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality and service, constantly monitoring guest experience
  21. Responsible for obtaining maximum results in the utilization and appearance of beverage areas, quality levels, performance and standards of service
  22. Ensure staff understands their job expectations before holding them accountable
  23. Maintain awareness of documentation needed and retained in employee files
  24. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
  25. Attend relevant meetings

Core Competencies

  1. High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  2. Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
  3. Strong communication skills

  6. Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS
