The Saguaro hotels are those colorful hotels in Palm Springs, CA and Scottsdale, AZ. The bold color palette is the work of architects Peter Stamberg and Paul Aferiat, who have infused the property with hues that reflect the indigenous flowers that bring color to the desert landscape. Completed in 2012, The Saguaros were ground-breaking projects that added a bright and cheerful vibe to the neighborhoods that surround them and made each an Instagram favorite.
Each property features a buzzing pool scene and a Mexican cantina, El Jefe in Palm Springs and La Señora in Scottsdale. Both restaurants take inspiration from the diverse street food of Mexico, featuring authentic small plates influenced by the zesty flavors of Mexico City.
The Saguaro is hiring a Culture Coordinator to maintain and grow our brand and reputation through graphic design and fostering cultural connections and experiences.
WHAT THE JOB IS
As an essential part of our creative team, the Creative Coordinator, based in Los Angeles, works alongside our programming partners, and is responsible to our Saguaro Global Brand Director.
Working closely with the Global Brand Director, you’ll be responsible for all graphic design work for both Saguaro hotels. This will include production work for Sales & Marketing, and opportunities for more creative, brand-building & elevating work as needed. The right candidate will have the opportunity to refine and develop brand guidelines, look books and standards for brand consistency. As part of that, you’ll be hands-on in creating collateral for communicating with customers – including using your graphic design skills to produce promotional material for pop-ups and seasonal programs.
The Culture Coordinator is a role that requires an involvement in the local community. You’ll need to be tapped into both Palm Springs and Scottsdale, where you will identify and engage key creative communities. You will be responsible for developing and promoting cultural programming with a focus on engaging and growing relevant audiences, with a strong focus on the Scottsdale market.
You’ll be running social media for the Saguaro channels too - including Facebook, which includes pages for each property, as well as their Food & Beverage outlets, as well as adding your own photos and content, managing the community, and placing ads. You’ll also be on hand to chat with the Saguaro channel Instagram community, creating stories, and contributing content to our global Twitter and Instagram channels. As part of your social media expertise, you’ll also wrangle influencers – fielding inquiries and proactively making positive connections, while offering good ideas for influencer partners to the Global Brand Director. Once good connections are made, you’ll manage those relationships.
- 3 years of experience in graphic design, social media or brand management
- Excelling skills in Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on InDesign and Photoshop
